The holiday lights will be lit on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 26th, 2008. This is a longstanding tradition in town and can be seen on the all along the boulevard. While obviously it will be a little early for the prom goers and summer vacation renters the Seaside nightlife will be expected to be bustling as it is one of their busiest nights.

Also Coming up in Seaside Heights winter extravaganza is New Year’s Eve day on the Boardwalk for “First Night Ocean County“. Come out for a non-alcoholic evening of festivities.
First Night Ocean County will also see a fireworks display beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the boardwalk (weather conditions permitting). All times and shows are subject to change. says the B.I.D.
The Seaside Heights boardwalk is a hub of family fun on New Year’s Eve Day, with an “amazing” amount of people, says boardwalk businessman Wayne Cimorelli, a member and past chair of the Business Improvement District, which is the sponsor of First Night Ocean County. The comments were made during one of the many meetings held to plan this and other winter events.
The Seaside Heights Business Improvement District website says, “Join us for New Year’s Eve on Wednesday, December 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights. There’ll be entertainment, prizes, and lots of surprises. Bracelets will be on sale for $5.00 at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall or any of the participating arcades. Present your First Night Bracelet to pick up a Seaside Heights Passport at any participating venue to be eligible to win a gift basket worth over $500.00!! ”
According to Maria Maruca, the BID Executive Director, the marketing plan is such to inform people that Seaside Heights doesn’t “close”, and things like the light display, First Night Ocean County and February 28th’s New Jersey Law Enforcement Polar Bear Plunge are examples of year round family fun in the Borough.

No, any one or group can rent a unit at Surfside Condominiums at Seaside Heights.
How much is the deposit and when does it have to be paid?
We require a deposit of 50% of the rental that is due at the time of the reservation. This is applied in full towards your balance.
How is the deposit paid?
Deposits can be paid by any major credit card (via paypal), money order, personal check or cash.
Where do we pay the deposit?
Credit card deposits can be paid via Paypal, personal checks and money orders can be mailed. Cash would be based on the time of year, we are not at the beach in the winter.
When is the balance due?
The balance must be paid in full 30 days before check in.
Does our first night of check in count as a day?
Yes, the first night of check in, even if after 12:00 midnight, does count as a day of your reservation since the property must be available to you from 2:00pm.
What is the security deposit?
We require only a $50.00 per person security deposit. Security deposits are returned with 30 days after departure provided there is no damage and the property is returned in the same condition provided.
How late can you check in?
With advance notice, we can arrange check in at any time.
Do you provide Security on site?
We retain security guards on site that and are instructed to assist and protect our guests.
